The Machine Learning Discussion Group (MLDG) is an informal group for discussing the latest work in the field of Machine Learning. We usually discuss a paper from a recent conference (NIPS, ICML, etc) each meeting.

This term (Fall 2016) we meet on Tuesdays from 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm in Gates 416 (Ithaca) and Hackers (Cornell Tech, New York City).

Who attends the MLDG?

The group is mainly attended by graduate students and undergraduate students actively interested in the area of machine learning. Beginning of every semester, we meet to discuss areas of interests to each of the people attending and decide on a few themes for the semester. Suggestions for topics or papers to discuss may be sent to the mailing list and are always welcome.

How do I join the mailing list?

You can join the list by sending an email with subject "join" (no quotes) to
